To import digital files, select the ‘Import a digital file’ option from the calendar view.
In the import window click “Choose the file.
In the window that appears, specify the location of the digital files, select the files you want to import, and click “Open”.
The program supports importing files downloaded from a tachograph or driver card. It also allows compressed files to be imported directly from folders without the need to extract them first.
After clicking ‘Open’ the selected files will appear in the list of files to import.
Double-clicking a file will display its basic information in the ‘General’ tab on the right-hand side of the screen.
The card includes, among other details, information about the period for which the data was collected, driver or vehicle details, and the validity of the digital signatures.
When you open the ‘Data Preview’ tab, a calendar view will be displayed showing the days on which the driver was active on the road. Hovering the cursor over a specific day will display information about the vehicle driven on that day.
The data preview feature allows you to verify the driver’s activity without the need to add vehicles to the database.
In the upper-left corner of the window, there are three additional tabs.
The ‘Driver’ tab displays a list of all drivers whose card files are being imported, as well as drivers who have inserted their driver cards into the tachograph from which the file is being imported.
By default, every new driver will be added to the database. If you do not want to add a driver, click ‘Add Driver’, expand the list, and select ‘Skip Driver’.
The ‘Vehicles’ tab displays a list of all vehicles from which files have been downloaded, as well as vehicles in which the imported driver cards have been used.
Please note that driver card data is always downloaded in full. As a result, if a driver previously worked for another employer and has not replaced their driver card since then, vehicles unfamiliar to your organization may appear in the list. Such vehicles should be omitted.
To skip a vehicle, click ‘Add vehicle’, expand the list, and select ‘Skip this vehicle’.
If the ‘Assignment’ column is empty for a given vehicle, it means that the vehicle is already in the database.
Please note that Tachospeed Expert does not allow users to delete vehicles independently. To remove a vehicle from the database, please contact customer service.
The ‘Companies’ tab displays the company cards that were logged into the vehicles at the time the tachograph data was downloaded.
After selecting the vehicles and drivers to be added to the database, return to the ‘Files’ tab and click ‘Import Files’.
During the import process, the program checks the files for any violations. If any violations are detected, a red triangle icon will appear next to the name of the driver responsible for them. On the right-hand side, under the ‘Infringements (561/2006 and 165/2014)’ section, a list of detected infringements will be displayed. The infringements are analyzed in accordance with Regulations 561/2006 and 165/2014.
Once the ‘Files import completed’ message appears, you can close the window by clicking the red ‘X’ button.
fter the files have been imported, the data will appear in the calendar view.
